Okay, this has been (and still is) an EXTREMELY stressful week for me. I've been working late, the kids have been crazy, I've had a major assignment and test due for school, and planning Wren's party...on the up side, I've lost another 2 lbs!! Within 10 l s of my goal now!!! Makes me want to jump on a treadmill and burn off that last 10. I hope I don't have some rebound gain when the stress clears.

No...I am NOT pregnant
Now for the THIRD time in a week I've been asked if I'm pregnant...no, as confirmed by mother nature's visit yesterday, I am NOT pregnant. This question, as you can imagine, is not helping my self esteem right now. On a happier note, when my surgeon (who is a Yankee that doesn't give a lot of compliments) heard the scrub tech ask if I was preggo, he was shocked and said "you have less fat on your whole body than I've got on my little finger! I can't believe anyone would think you are pregnant!"...so that was at least something nice after so many people have taken punches as my self esteem this week! It also doesn't help that (I hope thanks to mother nature's visit) the scale tipped a pound in the wrong direction!

Guess you are keeping track!
Ha ha, I know that some of you are actually reading all these rambles of mine...one of you asked why I haven't posted in a week, ha ha! Thank you for keeping me on track!! I have (with the exception of JB's birthday Saturday) been keeping on track...and even then I only got into the red from the excessive calories in alcohol - which I did extra elliptical time for on Sunday and Monday. Even though today is V-day, I cooked honey garlic glazed pork chops with green peas and rice pilaf for dinner (because I snubbed the Carl's Jr. offer from Andy)...probably for the best bc at least this way I could control what I ate - which seems to be more important to me by the day. I have hit a plateau in my weight loss - having stayed exactly the same this week's weigh in...I am choosing to believe this must be because I have burned fat and gained some muscle (at least that's what I'm telling myself). Just in case, I have decided to start some tough core workouts this week in addition to my cardio...wish me luck!
Side note - when we went out for JB's birthday I actually got hit on multiple times (which never happens when I'm with that hottie BFF of mine, typically I'm the invisible chunky friend :-P ) and I have to say it it felt good!! I also wore the same dress I wore for my birthday last September, but guess what??? No SPANX were needed this time! It was even a little big in the tummy area!!! Progress.

Productive today
I am feeling energized today...did the weeks' grocery shopping (with both kids, which was a nightmare), did my cardio time on the elliptical, bought a jump rope to add variety to my workouts, have both kids down for a nap, now I'm going to work on my paper for school...It's so nice outside I think I'll play soccer with the girls when naps are done! It's amazing how much more energy I have already, and I'm only half way to my goal...can't imagine how much better I'll feel when I'm there!

Still going strong
Okay ladies...I just weighed in...139.6!!! I don't remember the last time I wasn't in the 150s, much less being in the 130s!! Seeing the scale dwindling is really motivating for me. Also, my quasi-aunt Michelle has turned me on to e-mealz.com, and it's making my meal planning and grocery shopping so much easier (it saves a ton of money too) AND it has the weight watcher points already worked out for me!!! Amazing site that helps me stay on track. I am truly so grateful, not only to have such awesome ladies to keep me focused and to support me, but for all the great advice and tips that I wouldn't have known about otherwise! Darn I'm blessed!!!!!

Saturday
Okay, so weekends tend to bring a LOT of eating out...however, I managed to keep everything we've eaten out this weekend under 300 calories per meal for me (thank goodness for Internet on my phone allowing me to look up nutritional facts for restaurants)...And I've eaten dinner every night at home...so that helps me stay on track too. I weigh in again on Monday, so y'all keep your fingers crossed for me!!

Busting butt
I may not have made it to water aerobics this week, but I've done some serious damage on my big booty via elliptical! I've done it three times this week so far - plus I've cooked at home every night this week so far! You guys have no idea how much the encouragement from you has kept my motivation up...I almost skipped out on the elliptical, then I got a text telling me I'm doing a great job and to keep up the good work - so I decided I really should exercise tonight or I'd regret it! (thanks J)
Tomorrow Andy has LASIK surgery in the afternoon - he has to sleep for four hours when we get home - since the girls will be gone I am going to use that time to study, workout, and restock my refrigerator with fresh food!

New playlists
Stayed on track today - even though I didn't make it to water aerobics, I did get my cardio in on the elliptical...which made me realize I keep listening to the same playlist on my iPod - so to keep it fresh I went to Shape.com and got three new playlist ideas (will download the songs from iTunes tomorrow)...I really like their suggestions bc they are usually right at 30 minutes long and are a good mix of stuff I like. On a different note, Andy saw how hard I was pushing myself on the elliptical, and rather than say something encouraging, he maintained typical guy stereotypes by saying "are you trying to make yourself pass out? I hope you don't burn yourself out". Little does he know that pushes me to stick with this just to spite him, ha ha!

Planned out dinner
Ok, in an effort to keep cooking at home I bought the "Eat What You Love" cookbook. Amazing. Tomorrow I'm making crab cakes and onion rings, Wednesday I'm making honey Dijon shrimp skewers and veggies...wish me luck that I don't burn it!!

Still managed to make dinner
I got very little sleep last night because Wren woke up shrieking at 2:30 am with a 102.9 fever...couldn't really sleep after that. I had planned to go to work for at least a little bit, but ended up staying home to take care of her. Needless to say she was super clingy all day, but I still managed to make chicken enchiladas from scratch for dinner (under 200 calories), and even with my pantry tempting me with goodies I stayed on track! Once I get the girls to bed tonight I have big plans for the elliptical! Just want to say thank you to all of you for following me, and for all the encouragement I've received so far...I'm down 12.6 lbs as of this morning!

Tomorrow will be better
Okay, today I burned dinner, had crazy menstrual cramps, and I banged the crap out of my head while attempting to do laundry (don't ask), and I'm feeling guilty bc I didn't workout...on the upside, I did have a good day with my girls at the park, I stayed under my daily calorie goal, and I planned my meals for the next two days. Tomorrow will be better - I WILL workout, I WILL NOT burn dinner (going to make healthy chicken enchiladas) and my headache will have passed! I will also book the pavilion at Tom Bass for Wren's birthday party, so that will let me feel like I checked off one more thing on the to-do list! (it'll be March 3rd, so mark your calendars)...like I said, tomorrow will be better!

It's a good thing...
Woke up (or I should say was woken up by Mila) and my whole body is sore from last night's workout...stinks to be sore, but I know that just means my muscles are getting stronger and will burn more calories...so it's a good thing!

The blog is revived!
Okay, it's just sad that I didn't utilize my blog before (been WAY too long since my last post!)...well ladies, the blog is revived! I have recently had a wake up call (Mila asked why my belly is big, and if I'm having another baby!)...so I have made some changes that have been over due. I am not going to "diet", but rather just watch my portion sizes and try to pick healthy foods, cook at home at least 4 times a week, take my lunch to work, and exercise in some way 4 times a week...if that won't do it, then I will adapt. Currently I am down a solid 11 lbs since I've started this. My Lose it app says I should reach my goal weight by the end of May...so please help me stay motivated (even if it's through random texts or calls, it will help!)
Love you ladies!
